Sensocain®Injection
(Bupivacaine Hydrochloride USP)

Sensocain (Bupivacaine) is chemically and pharmacologically related to the aminoacyl group (Amide) group of local anaesthetic. Bupivacain is four times more potent than lidocaine. Bupivacain blocks the generation of conduction of nerve impulses, presumably by reducing the rate of rise of the action potential. It has also been noted that there is period of analgesia that persists after the return of sensations, during which time the need for analgesia is reduced. Sensocain Injection is available in concentration of 0.5% sterile isotonic solution.

Sensocain Spinal injection is available as hyperbaric solution with addition of Dextrose anhydrous for Spinal block in concentration of 0.5% Heavy and 0.75%.

Sensocain (Bupivacaine Hydrochloride) Injection is indicated for the production of local or regional anaesthesia or analgesia for surgery, diagnostic, therapeutic and obstetrical procedures.
