Brookes Health & Education Foundation

Brookes Health and Education Foundation (BHEF) is an independent and non-profit organization which was established in the year 2006 under the Societies Act XXI of 1860.

A purpose built school namely Brookes Education System (BES) and a dispensary namely Brookes Healthcare System (BHS) are providing education and healthcare facilities free of cost under the umbrella of BHEF to the needy people of North Karachi with excellence comparable to any decent institution.

The Board of Governors and School Management Team both truly played their role in transforming the school into what it is today wherein over 300 students are not only getting education free of cost but also getting free books, uniforms, shoes and bags. For the last 5 academic years the success ratio of BES is quite remarkable whereby mostly students have secured A-One and A-Grades which can be compared with any good private school of Karachi.

Brookes Healthcare System has appointed a full time Eastern Medicine Hakeem and Tabiba who are dedicatedly taking care of this noble cause. BHS is treating over 100 patients on daily basis whereby they are provided medicines free of cost.

In early March 1996, the then commissioner of Karachi had initiated development and beautification of Six roundabouts in Korangi Industrial Area. Brookes immediately took the initiative to develop and beautify one roundabout which is the gateway to Korangi Industrial Area.

For that purpose the “Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony” was taken place on June 26, 2002 by then City Nazim Mr. Naimat Ullah Khan. Mr. Muhammad Mian Soormo (Ex-Chairman Senate of Pakistan) graced the occasion of opening ceremony of Brookes Roundabout with his presence on April 17th, 2004.

Considering the Law & Order situation of the locality, Brookes established the Madadgar-15 Center of Korangi Industrial Area in the year 2005.

Brookes not only constructed a beautiful building but also equipped it with the IT & modern communication infrastructure. In addition to this Brookes also provided patrolling motorcycles and police van to deal with prevailing issues of street crimes in Korangi Industrial Area.

Moreover, to monitor & prevent crimes, protect lives & property, and uphold the rule of Law, Brookes in liaison with CPLC built a CPLC Zonal Office for Korangi district adjacent to 15-Madadgar, which became functional on September 18, 2014.

Giving blood is a simple thing to do, but it can make a big difference in the lives of others. Brookes actively participates in on-premises blood donation drives with the collaboration of various NGOs and Hospitals like Kashif Iqbal Thalassemia Center (KITC), Afzal Memorial Thalassemia Foundation (AMTF) and The Indus Hospital etc.

Brookes regularly donates to a vast number of Hospitals with a goal to spread the spirit of cooperation and social responsibility in the society.
