D-Cort®Injection
(Dexamethasone Sodium Phosphate Injection USP)

D-Cort injection is a synthetic glucocorticoid used primarily for its anti-inflammatory effects. It is among the most potent glucocorticoids, having about 25 to 30 times the anti-inflammatory activity of hydrocortisone. In addition to its anti-inflammatory properties, D-Cort has been shown to be effective in the management of nausea and vomiting secondary to cancer chemotherapy.

  • Conditions where the anti-inflammatory and immune suppressive effects of the corticosteroids are desirable especially in acute emergencies and during intensive care
  • For the management of nausea and vomiting associated with chemotherapy.
  • Shock due to Hemorrhage, Trauma, or after Surgery.
  • Cerebral edema.
  • For the management of patients with recurrent or inoperable brain tumors.
  • Neonatal respiratory distress syndrome (antenatal prophylaxis).
  • For acute attack of bronchial asthma and in combination with bronchodilators.
