(Simvastatin USP)

Antichol (Simvastatin) is a lipid-lowering agent derived synthetically from a fermentation product of Aspergillus terreus. Simvastatin is an inhibitor of 3-hydroxy-3 methylglutaryl coenzyme A (HMG-CoA) reductase, an early and rate-limiting step in the biosynthesis of cholesterol.Antichol is highly effective in reducing total plasma cholesterol, LDL,triglycerides, and very low density lipoprotein cholesterol (VLDL-C) concentrations and increasing high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C).

In patients with coronary heart disease, Antichol is indicated to reduce the risk of death.

  • Reduce the risk of stroke and transient ischemic attacks.(TIA)
  • Reduce the risk for undergoing myocardial revascularization procedures.
  • Antichol  is indicated as an adjunct to diet to reduce elevated total -Cholesterol,
  • LDL, TG, and to increase HDL-C in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia
  • Antichol is indicated for the treatment of patients with hypertriglyceridemia.

Antichol 10 is available in pack of 10 tablets.

Antichol 20 is available in pack of 10 tablets.
