World Occupational Health & Safety Day celebrations were held in Brookes Pharma on April 29, 2019. The theme for the Year 2019 was “A Safe and Healthy Future of Work”. The purpose is to promote the safety culture in organization and awareness for the prevention of incidents.
Prevention is possible by making the employees aware of the hazards associated with the work they are involved in and the controls which are implemented to minimize the occurrence of any incident. Brookes strongly believes that workplace safety is a team effort towards prevention of occupational injuries and diseases.
The day was spiced up with different kind of activities to motivate the workforce for the implementation of safe work practices every time. Activities included Quiz Competition, Safety Poster Competition, Health Desk, and Safety Tableau/ segment Performances. At the end of the ceremony, the winners of the competitions were rewarded.
